“I have never been invested in the concept of a career,” says our November cover star Tilda Swinton. “My interest has always been, and continues to be in, in the leading of a life.” After three decades on the big screen — a feat she insists is entirely accidental — Swinton has developed a reputation as a Hollywood heavyweight. Despite this, acting has always felt to be more of a distraction from her true calling than the be-all and end-all of her life. This is perhaps how she became incapable of falling prey to the pitfalls of mindless ambition. Harper's BAZAAR Australia’s November issue is on newsstands from October 24, in which Swinton muses on the beauty of collaboration, the nuance of "career", and why she continues to be driven by one thing: a hunt for her creative tribe. #TildaSwinton wears CHANEL Fall-Winter 2022/23 Haute Couture Collection and CHANEL High Jewellery.
