Through October, we’re displaying thousands of portraits created by you, our community. People near and far have shared their artwork in celebration of the leaders they admire most. From life-changing teachers, to innovative neighbors, to young changemakers, the faces shaping tomorrow have a special place at the MFA this fall—on our walls. They’ll be displayed alongside our presentation of “The Obama Portraits Tour,” helping to form a larger portrait of leadership in our community. Teens from our Curatorial Study Hall program (@mfateens) were given the tremendous responsibility of curating these submissions. Working together, they identified and explored six themes—narratives and storytelling, families, memorials, activists, fame, and artistic expression. Come and explore them all this fall (🔗 in bio).
