Tips for Styling a Cowl and a FREE pattern! โคต๏ธ
.
Let me preface this by saying, I live in California and haven't worn a legit coat in years probably so all my styling advice is for wearing a cowl without a coat. ๐
.
1. Look for tops and dresses that have high necklines and fairly simple design. You want the fabric of your clothing to meet the fabric of the cowl so there are no large gaps of skin left showing. You'll stay warmer and it will look more put together.
.
2. Sense we are keeping the neckline and top simple the best place to pull in some interest (other than the cowl) is with statement sleeves. Sense it's time to dress a little warmer, long sleeves with anything fancy on them will compliment a cowl well!
.
3. A cowl and a light cardigan are a match made in heaven. Put them together to transition any of your jeans and tank/tee outfits into the colder seasons.
.
4. This one is just for my long haired friends. Wear your hair up! It's easy for me to look like I'm being suffocated by my hair and cowl when I have my hair down. I tend to go for updos because it breaks up how busy it is around my face/neck. Plus, then you can see your beautiful handmade cowl better! ๐
