Hey Freerotation Family, Despite our recent announcement of the dates for Freerotation 2023, we have to let you know that the next Freerotation will now be July 5th-7th 2024 Our plan has been to re-structure Freerotation as a Charity to raise money for environmental causes, however after exploring all the necessary application processes we realised that we didn’t have time to get this together before we would have to start selling tickets. By taking a year out in 2023, we are giving ourselves stress free time to not only explore the possibilities for our charitable aims, but also to change the work structure of Freerotation. At the festival itself we have a fantastic, dedicated and mostly voluntary crew who run everything smoothly and efficiently, but for too long now Steevio & Suzybee have shouldered most of the work in organising everything pre-festival. We have delegated some of this work, but our limited budget meant that we could only afford to cover a few areas and do the rest of the work ourselves, while also trying to maintain our own creative endeavours as artist and musician. We must therefore restructure how Freerotation is run without affecting the quality and vibe of the event, so that more of the work is delegated to paid workers leaving us to be the artistic directors and producers, as well as enabling us to cover spiralling costs. A limited number of super early-bird tickets for Freerotation 2024 will go on sale to Members who have been to 5+ Freerotations this November at a reduced cost, and we will run our usual ticket system until May. Then the whole cycle will begin again in November 2023 with tickets at full price until they’re gone. Obviously, it’s in your best interests to buy the super early-birds in the first cycle if you want to be sure of a ticket. We hope everyone understands our situation. You can be totally assured that we are dedicated to keeping Freerotation alive through these difficult times. We deeply value the community that has evolved around Freerotation, and the positive energy that we have all created together, and it’s hugely important to us to nurture and protect it.
