HOW TO DIY FRENCH MOLDING 📐 🔨 🚧 I’ve had @theglowloft photo studio a little over year, and I knew for my first wall I wanted French Molding. It instantly elevates any plain wall and gives a little french, chic flair. Shout out to my husband, that constructed my wall for me, a few days, and a few arguments later we were done ;) Here’s the steps: 1. Buy your molding! Find a Molding store for a bigger array of options- but your local Home Depot has a few as well! 2. Measure your wall and make a plan! Mark the space on the wall where your molding will lay with pencil. This step hurts your brain and probably took us the longest- but is necessary! 3. Cut your molding with a saw based on your measurements. Lay it out on the ground to make sure you have sizing and spacing correct! 4. Install on wall with a nail gun (you can rent these at Home Depot). 5. Use caulking to fill any gaps between your molding and the wall. 6. Paint your wall and molding any color to seamlessly blend. 7. You’re done!
