“I moved to London because I missed the intensity and rewards associated with academic research. When I discovered the cultural diversity and richness of this city, I simply had to stay.” Brett Rogers [@brettrogerstpg] moved to London from her home in Australia in 1954. Following 20 years working for the British Council, she became the Director of The Photographers Gallery [@thephotographersgallery] in London. After 16 years at its helm, expanding its exhibition programme to be more diverse and inclusive, she steps down at the end of this year.
She reflects on her life and career for British Journal of Photography.
