Happy Birthday to you, my love, my adventure partner, amazing co-parent to Jer-Bob, @brewhiker 🫶 There’s no other birthday I love to celebrate more because I know it will involve some combination of wilderness/backpacking/camping (per your request😘). Also, your birthday always brings me back to 2019 and less than 2 weeks after we first met when I got a chance to celebrate your birthday on the Continental Divide Trail in Marysville, Montana. The best kind of thru-hike day where you land a miracle hitch, get amazing food, beers, and a return ride back to trail for the night. Your birthday gives me a moment to reminisce in our early trail memories together and cherish the new ones we make every day. Flash forward to a week ago, our 50ish mile loop to the West Fork of the Gila River! ⚡️⚡️⚡️ There were many firsts: first time for Bobby camping and first time crossing the river multiple times; first black bear sighting in the Gila, first poison oak in New Mexico 😅. We had a blast and enjoyed 5 beautiful days without seeing a single person and ended with a well-deserved night at the Gila Hot Springs. Overgrowth and bushwhacking in some parts so no surprise that we both ended up with some poison oak! 🫣 I’d say the momma black bear and cub sighting were so worth it. Happy Birthday @brewhiker ❤️
