Blackberry gin is having a Moment šŸ’…šŸ»ā  ⁠ August means blackberry season is here, and with the wave of delicious blackberry gins arriving from our favourite craft distilleries we decided to whip up our own easy DIY version at home. ⁠ ⁠ 3 ingredients, 2 minutes and a tiny bit of patience later, and you'll have this gorgeous berry gin to enjoy in your favourite cocktails!⁠ ⁠ Blackberry Gin ⁠ Approx. 350g blackberries⁠ 120g caster sugar, or to taste⁠ 70cl gin⁠ A clean, ideally sterilised jar or bottle with seal⁠ ⁠ Wash the fruit and add to your sterilised jar.⁠ Add the sugar and gin, stir or shake well, seal tightly and then leave in a cool dry place to infuse for about a week or two, or longer for a stronger flavour.⁠ ⁠ Every few days, give the gin a little shake. When the gin tastes ready, strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve or muslin cloth into a fresh bottle.⁠ ⁠ Be sure to save this recipe for your first plunder of blackberries!
