Meet Chiyu, GGI 끼 Club. ✦ Chiyu ✦ Having been exposed to Taiwan's underground scene since 15, he is a DJ, producer, and promoter now based in London. Upon their recent arrival to the city, they have already made appearances playing at shows such as Gutterring, Riposte, and Body Movements Festival. Mixing multi-genre hard club being their speciality, nothing is out of bounds for Chiyu- Meaning you can expect anything from the sounds of Taiwan's experimental club scene to Ayesha Erotica during their sets. ✦ GGI 끼 ✦ Is a club night and rave founded by artist and cultural producer June Lam in 2021, showcasing the talent of queer, trans and nonbinary ESEA artists making waves in electronic music, from London and beyond. GGI has quickly gained a devoted following after its first few parties. GGI recently debuted at Body Movements, a queer techno festival in Hackney Wick and earlier this month was invited to take over the courtyard of Somerset House, one of London’s premiere arts venues. GGi is a rare community space which celebrates ESEA queer culture away from a fetishising gaze; a space where queer ESEA excellence can flourish.
