Does your hair look straight when it’s wet? Mine does if I brush it like in this video. Obviously all it takes to curl back up is a quick scrunch and even if I didn’t scrunch it, it still dries curly. Sometimes people might say things which make you question the validity of your hair e.g if you need to scrunch your hair it’s not really curly or if your hair doesn’t curl from the root then it’s not curly. Or sometimes the voice in your own head might give you a bad case of impostor syndrome. But remember this - no matter if your hair is pin straight, a slight wave, wavy curly, tight curls or extremely tight curls, all of those textures are valid and you can do whatever you want to your own hair. If you want to literally wash it and leave it that’s great. If you want to spend 2 hours styling your hair, that’s great too.
