Gawwwwwwd Dam! What!! I need to post how geeked and emotional I am over this. First of all, shout outs to @c__l__o for connecting me with @roshannahbagley and the @something_inc team which lead the connection to putting me on this project with @jcdecaux_uk When I tell y’all, I am getting emotional because I finally feel like I’m being seen and heard and it’s been taking a whole decade to get to this point. I took this photograph in 2018 the same year I made a game plan to become a full time artist by 2020. The fact that 1) this is the first time my work is finally being shown in public spaces 2) my personal work made it to the big screen before any of my commercial success AND 3) it’s of my parents who are the reason why I started my personal project “Segunda Generación” is all the reasons why I need to tear up. Thank you everyone, my family, friends, and my community for the love and support. Y’all are the ones that keep pushing me to make work. The love is fully felt 🥲 Special shout outs to @noanunoparty and @p.amina for waiting on the blocks to get the documentation 😭.
