Today would have been Xavier Lopez's 12th birthday — the then 10-year-old was one of the 21 victims in the Robb Elementary mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas in 2022. Nineteen students and two teachers were killed that morning. The Uvalde City Council released the findings of its independent investigation into the actions of the Uvalde police officers who responded to the massacre. Some 77 minutes transpired before the classroom doors were finally breached by law enforcement and the gunman was killed. The investigation determined none of the Uvalde police officers who responded violated policy or committed serious acts of misconduct. Xavier's parents, Felicha and Abel, react to the city council findings, telling ABC News' Mireya Villarreal: "Xavier was a fighter. We're going to keep fighting until something is done for our children, Ms. Eva and Ms. Irma."
