Hi everybody! I’m here to announce that on August 22nd I’ll be releasing a new album via the lovely team at @saddlecreek - The album is titled I Hope We Can Still Be Friends and today we’re putting out its first single -Before You Hit the Ground- a song that muses on the growing divide between us and the sunny side and how we all might feel a little like our plane is going down. It is a fitting introduction to an album full of division, estrangement and unhappy endings.  Which undoubtedly makes you wanna preorder some vinyl from Saddle Creek or from hometown heroes @easystreetrecords (who have a Seattle Red vinyl exclusive). There are also CDs and tshirts.    The beautifully cinematic official music video was shot at Fort Worden State Park and directed by @ermcmackin with cinematography by @bentcowan. The luminously divine album art and font is by @fuhrmz. Photo of me is by @cocotakemyfoto. I Hope We Can Still Be Friends is produced by @seracahoone who was by my side every step of the way. Largely recorded at @anacortesunknownstudio w Nicholas Wilbur. Overdubs and mixing at @cracklepopstudio with @johnny_sangster. NOVEMBER will bring a full band west coast tour.  DECEMBER will at long last have me and my songwriting superfriend @therealestherrose co-headlining solo sets. We’ll be out with her incredible new album, Want, singing our lantern hearts out of our chests and dangling them in front of your eyes.
