I thought I'd introduce myself to all the new faces: thanks for being here! My aim is to create the possibility of greater Self & world exploration through sharing my own journeys in those realms. I hope that what you see inspires you to take a leap, take an adventure, trust and be true to yourself. Currently I am living aboard my 40' sailboat Sea Bear ⛵ing around the world with the love of my life @petewillauer! He's amazing & it's the happiest I've ever been! It's incredibly hard work: the highs are HIGH and the lows are LOW lol. And no, I didn't know how to sail when I bought the boat w/Pete (he did!) but I learned quickly. After a very successful 12 year professional big mountain skiing career, I retired last year & switched to the ocean. Pete and I left Maine on Sea Bear in June of 2021. We sailed across the Atlantic (my first offshore trip 😬) & then back to the Caribbean, ⬆️ to Florida, then ⬇️ to Panama where the boat is currently out of the water as we prepare to put in a month or so of boat work. We do all the work ourselves. Fun facts: ⚓I have a weird talent for finding 🍀 s- I've found around 100? ⚓I really dislike being 🥶 (I know...) ⚓I was born on Friday the 13th ⚓I built a house with my parents and brother when I was 19-21. We learned most things off of YouTube and our friend Jonesy and we passed our 4way inspection 🥳. Worst injury was hitting my big toe with a jackhammer while wearing Hawaiian safety shoes 🙈 I only lost a toenail. ⚓I take time every morning to meditate & be in solitude (hard on a 40' ⛵ with a partner but we make it happen b/c if I don't I'm V grumpy 😂) I believe: ⚓In the power of love + kindness ⚓The only things we have control over are our attitude & our effort ⚓We are all fighting our own great battles ⚓In the power of deep connection with ourselves, each other, & the planet ⚓In the active cultivation of our inner knowing & that we are the only person that knows what is right for us ⚓Our bodies, life, & the planet are incredibly more intelligent and interconnected than we realize & am passionate about taking care of all of them I believe we are capable of more than we know.
