I used to hate change. Now I embrace it. One of the most freeing feelings is letting go of things (and people) that no longer align with the plan and purpose for your life. I have been far too trusting in some of my relationships, and given more than what I should have to people who were undeserving. Matthew 7:6 is in the Bible for a reason. I’m learning that sometimes it is better to love from a distance, and sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself (and someone else) is to let them go. ⠀ Thank you to the first person who taught me that lesson. It was one of the most painful things I have ever gone through, but I am so much stronger now, and I fully understand that it was for my greatest good. Every time it has happened since then has been easier, as I recognize that change is necessary for growth. ⠀ I know I haven’t released any music in forever, but I have been recording A LOT, and will be sharing these stories in song form soon.
