What a magical day at @bushwig ! I created this act in the first months of the pandemic for @macyrodman & @severelymame ‘s @zoom show and then in @newyorkburlesquefestival ‘s online show in 2020. It’s been a journey, just like the Pandemonium has been these past 2 and a half years! Anyway, “From a Distance” kept getting stuck in my head and this song is just as relevant in 1990 when @bettemidler recorded it when the gulf war began as it is today. The US is at war in a different way, at war against its people (namely Black People, Queer People , Trans People and Women) and supporting other whyt suprmacist counties while they destroy black and brown ancient cultures. Anyway, this weekend at #bushwig I wanted to celebrate being a #queerwoman and be a part of the #RESISTANCE !
