In January, the menswear trade show Pitti Uomo will host Pitti Pets, a showcase of 15 brands offering clothing, accessories and beauty products for our furry friends. According to market research provider Euromonitor International, the global market for pet products other than food will grow from $28bn in 2021 to $32bn in 2023, fuelled by the jump in pet adoptions during the pandemic.
'Ten years ago, a UK dog owner would have headed to Pets At Home or a local pet shop for a functional, inexpensive dog coat. Or, if they were fancy, a rather nicer version from Belgravia luxury pet supply store Mungo & Maud.
