MY WHY!💙 I am 2nd Generation Salvadorian. Both of my parents were born and raised in El Salvador and at a young age they came to the US. They never went back until I was in HS. This was our first time as a family and unfortunately the last. So much joy and pride. This is my favorite photo of us. Today is my dad’s birthday. As I think about him and the legacy he left, I can’t help but think about the weight of what that means for me. He taught me so much through his life and example. I am proud of being Salvadorian. I am proud of my roots. And I’m most proud of being his daughter. Happy birthday my twin. Everything I do is for you. 💙 P.S.
