New moon, new me? Since this weekend is a fresh start in many ways I thought I’d do a re-introduction post since I don’t think I’ve done one since 2020. First thing’s first: I am a Pisces sun, Taurus rising, and Capricorn moon—which means I’m a passionate creative, who feels best in community and using my emotions in my work. I am driven by achievement, but I also know my purpose is to ENJOY my life. In the last 3 years my life has changed A LOT. I left my full-time job as an editor at Harper’s Bazaar (where I had been for almost 9 years), to creating my life as I see fit. I became a full-time creator, I co-founded a DEI consultancy @2bgconsulting, with my friend (and best-selling author!) @DaniellePrescod, and I launched my newsletter FWD JOY, where I write about my mental health journey, self-care, self-discovery and share stories of interesting people around me. Next one drops tomorrow, subscribe at link in bio. Like so many others, I moved out of NYC at the beginning of the pandemic and back to my childhood home with parents in Westchester County, NY. I feel fortunate to have a great relationship with my parents but it’s also really hard to be an adult living with your parents. And yeah, I don’t know why I’m still here either, but it gave me the freedom to live in London for 5 months last year. This year I plan to continue to live between London and NY. Aside from work life, I’m obsessed with music, I read a lot, I study astrology, I love learning about spirituality and psychology because I am endlessly curious about what makes people tick.
