In 2015, my Dad bought me a ticket to @electric_forest after I pleaded it was the only thing in the world I wanted. My Mom was so mad he did but let me go anyways. That summer, my grandparents drove me 3 hours to Rothbury and my life was changed forever. 😅✨ As I attended my 6th year (would have been 8th) in the forest this past weekend, I couldn’t help but reflect upon the change i’ve experienced as an individual and everything I had been through since. I grew into an adult while going to this festival, and I can confidently say after a long 3 years of waiting to return, 2022 was the best year yet. I am so thankful for the love this place has shown me. It’s where I go to spend a weekend with my favorite humans in the world, dancing to our favorite music, meeting new friends, and making memories to last a lifetime. It’s where we are all able to experience what life would be like if everyone got along and took care of each other, expressed themselves without fear of judgement, and loved one another unconditionally. The forest is a place i’ve grown, healed, loved, cried, laughed, danced, found my passion, inspiration, & experienced my happiest memories. I am so thankful to have found something so special.
