I’m so disappointed that #TheCROWNAct did not pass in the Senate. It is ridiculous that we have to fight so hard for laws that protect against racial hair discrimination. Laws that protect Black women like me who just want to wear their hair how it naturally comes out of their heads...or in a protective style that not only keeps the hair healthy, but saves time and energy. It’s ridiculous, but, unfortunately, not surprising. I will continue to advocate for the passing of The Crown Act in 2023.
