Uffe Isolotto & Soft Baroque Sekaleht: A Small Bridge with Two Ways 2021 Sekaleht is a research project about The Lakes in Copenhagen, partly based on sources of local history and abstraction, which will manifest itself in digital and analogue artworks. The artworks act as concept art or teasers for what eventually will become a coherent, immersive world, like a video game. Each artwork is grounded in a geographical position in and along The Lakes, from where events and considerations will merge and unfold, as suggestions for a new reading of time and life. "Sekaleht: A Small Bridge with Two Ways" is built upon the painter Christen Købke's process with painting the picture "A View of Lake Sortedam from Dosseringen Looking towards the Suburb Nørrebro outside Copenhagen" from 1838. The artwork is realized as a sketch in raw materials - aluminum, plastic, wax, oil pastel and steel wire - and Købke's notes on colour and light, from his sketches, has been engraved into the aluminum profiles. The artwork has been adapted to fit the architecture of Den Frie, with a drop from the higher leveled spaces into the lower levels, whichs adds to the illusion of a bridge leading out into the unknown.
