“Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.”-John Lewis Over the past 6 weeks, I have had the amazing opportunity to intern in Congresswoman Terri Sewell’s Office in Washington DC. This experience has been worthwhile as I have met many amazing people whom I will call lifelong friends, gained first-hand knowledge of legislation, and witnessed history unfold by being in the room when Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries delivered his historic speech. This experience has been amazing, and I will carry every memory and piece of knowledge I gained with me forever.
