So I missed homecoming this year...it was a terrible feeling. I was in LA doing what I love but missing what would’ve been the time of my life. When I started comedy 12 years ago & wasn’t good & had no real idea what I was doing & wasn’t getting booked I said “one day I’ll be so busy doing comedy I’ll miss homecoming.” That was the goal. (Be careful what you wish for lol) Cut to last Thursday Oct. 27 2022 my comedy birthday & I’m doing a show I help produce with the now (& hopefully future) Sen. of the US @raphaelwarnock. Hard work never returns to you void, that’s what I was always told. Hard work had me miss Black Christmas aka SpelHouse Homecoming but what a sweet comedy Bday gift I got. Thank you to everyone that helped make “Comedy & Conversations” work, to all the comedians that absolutely ripped on stage thank you for sharing your talents. To my bro @munirmeghjani let’s do another one soon! PS. I got a brief convo w/ the Rev. Sen./ Morehouse brother & if you know me you know exactly what we talked about...Thurman obviously.
