Such a special night at the @clooneyfoundationforjustice inaugural #AlbieAwards. The ceremony spotlights people around the world who have devoted their lives to fighting for justice despite great personal risk. People like Justice Albie Sachs, a key activist in ending apartheid in South Africa; Filipino journalist @maria_ressa; Dr Josephine Kulea of @samburugirlsfdn, a Kenyan-based organisation that rescues girls from child marriage and FGM; Belarusian human rights group @viasna96; and @iactivism, an organisation that supports survivors of genocide in refugee camps. Honoured to have been there with the wonderful @charlottetilbury to celebrate the work of these inspiring individuals and to hear their stories.
