confident cat. 🥵🫶🏻✨🤪 purrrrr 😤🤤🐱 a lot that went into finding my confidence again. ⬇️🔥 but it began with realizing that a makeup product or fashion garment couldn’t rescue me, and i needed actual therapy. yes, those items helped later down the road served as an addition, but initially, i needed to get to the core of my self-confidence issues. while those shall remain private, my case remains; therapy was a significant component in unlocking this for me. once i began peeling back the root, i started experimenting with my style, makeup, etc. it was liberating and continues to be. what exactly makes me feel the most me? as of now, externally, i enjoy having my eyelashes on (24/7, extensions, baby), a glowy bronzed makeup look, bold hues with statement sleeves, high-waisted jeans, i could go on, but i digress. i’ll be honest; affirmations have never worked for me. they feel like i’m bullshitting myself, but if we are talking internally, i’ve found that working on values, what they are, and what they mean to me has helped immensely. i’m working on building a solid sense of self right now, which i’ve always struggled with. lastly, working out was hard to get into, but once i did, it changed my life. working out to build mental toughness and gain a deeper connection with my mind-body has allowed me a deeper level of confidence, because i’ve learned how to trust myself. the journey to confidence hasn’t been comfortable, but very worth it. 🫶🏻✨💌 #halloween #confidence #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealth
