I was inspired by the highballs I’ve had in Japan. I was looking for a pick me up but didn’t want an espresso martini, and I came up with this and immediately put it in my cocktail book. It’s rare that I make a drink and think it’s perfect on the first try. The high quality honey from @Lineage Provisions and the matcha from Tsukiji market definitely helped kick it up a notch. This one’s going on the rotation, and it’ll hold me over while I dream about my next trip to Japan.
