Context - it's one of the most important things in architecture, even when you can't see it!⁠ ⁠ In our project The Imprint, a 2-building complex containing a nightclub and an indoor theme park, we created a design that connects with its surroundings despite the fact it has no windows. ⁠ ⁠ The project acts like a mirror to the surrounding buildings, with the neighbouring façades draped over the simple building forms and plazas like a shadow, and ‘imprinted’ as a relief pattern. Entrances into the closed-off⁠ buildings are created by lifting the façades like curtains, revealing mirrored ceilings and glass media floors that give a hint of the excitement inside.⁠ ⁠ The project's most attention-grabbing element is the golden spot that is also draped over one of the buildings, highlighting the entrance to the nightclub.
