The ability for farmers, fishers, and workers to invest Community Development Funds (money generated from the Fair Trade Premium) into projects that meet their community's unique needs can be transformational. Over the past 3 years, we've conducted research to better understand the impact of these investments. In the Ivory Coast, where access to schooling has been heavily impacted by political instability, we found that the #FairTradeCertified program was a driver of increased education. 📚 🎒 ✏️ Education not only has a positive influence on the future of communities, but also protects children from harm.
