Spread your wings and FLY!! This Humpback Whale is appropriately named “Angel Wings”! We spent a solid hour with her and her calf while her baby rolled, breached, and played around beside us! About halfway through the encounter, big momma decided she wanted to show the calf how it’s done! When mom reached the apex of her breach, she spread her massive pectoral fins as if they wings and she was going to fly away into the atmosphere! It was a perfect way to cap a wonderful few days in Monterey Bay!
