Now this is no shade to any relationship or situationship but let me just say this, if you aren’t ready for marriage, don’t get married. And here’s why.. I didn’t grow up in a two-parent household however I told myself when I got married to Leslie and we started our family, I would stay faithful and show up in ways my dad never showed up for me. And Ladies, men know if they want to marry you within the first year of dating. Now we can sit here and argue about that but it’s just facts. It doesn’t take 2-3, even 5 years to figure out if you want to spend the rest of your life with someone. When you know, you know. Being a role model for not just my boys but for my girls as well. I want them to never feel unwanted, resented or less than. I want my boys to love, respect and appreciate their significant others like I do their mother. I never want to publicly embarrass her. I’m not saying I’m perfect either so don’t twist my words but d***it, Ima a prototype. 😎 Leslie isn’t just the mother of my kids, but she’s my best-friend, my business partner and just an overall great woman. Don’t get me wrong, we both are still learning, growing, and finding ways to make our marriage stronger and it hasn’t always been peachy BUT whatever we grow through, our kids will never be invited into the chaos. I never want my kids have to recover from their childhood, or from my fatherhood. 🤎💚 I said all that to say. Things worth having don’t always come easy. But they will always be worth it.
