This was SO fun, and also a little surreal- probably one of my most favorite interviews I’ve done. I was invited to sit down with @bimmawilliams to share my story on the @claimastories podcast, a podcast committed to inspiring the next generation of creatives and entrepreneurs of color. It was a bit surreal because we happened to film it in my hometown (Portland, OR) and it was pretty fun to go home and talk about what my life was like growing up there, and how it has evolved into what it looks like today. I get asked a lot about how I got into jewelry, and how I started my career— this is a really honest and candid reflection on my “unconventional” journey thus far. I know a lot of times this stuff can feel really inaccessible— and my goal in sharing is to help create access and to make this information as approachable and REAL as possible. Making a living being a creative entrepreneur is NOT for the faint of heart- but there are a million different paths to get there, and this is mine.
