I have a Jim Gardner story. About seven years ago I was at a party on the mainline and he came up the stairs from the basement of this house and saw me and introduced me to his wife Amy. He said this is the most important photographer in Philadelphia, and he shoots the most important people. I said nice to meet you Amy, and as I had never met Jim Gardner before, I said nice to meet you, I’ve watched you all my life, that was very kind of you to say. Can I have a photo? He said no I don’t like to take photos. I said Jim people know you’re here other people are going to say you were here and if the most important Photographer in Philly didn’t photograph you, what does that say...
