The saying “Fill your cup up and give from your overflow” has become a mantra for me for a while now and to say that it never occurred to me before is an understatement because it didn’t exist to me.
I still have tremendous amounts of guilt when I can’t make
it to an event or I have to cancel last minute because I’ve pushed myself too far. When I look at it, FOMO is a feeling and not a fact.
It’s ok to be in a different path than everyone else. It’s ok to not reply to a text, email, dm or phone call. And it’s ok to turn down another invitation if you’ve hit your max. I say all these things to myself alllllll the time. What is meant for me will always circle back and there are always other opportunities that will come to connect with the ones I love.
However people take things and respond to them is their own responsibility. You can only control your boundaries and how you respond.
It’s hard to breath sometimes and the body keeps score. But I’m learning to treat her better and rest her after all the work she’s out in and continues to out in for me.
I don’t stretch as often as I should. But when I do, it’s on a soft plush rug and for about 5-10 min 🤣🧘🏾😌
