Looking for a delicious campfire meal for your next camping trip?
I'm a firm believer that the meals you consume during a camping trip should taste delicious and be packed with flavour. With the help of @woodscanada cookware, I was able to make this yummy meal! Here's a sausage, eggs, & hash campfire recipe that is delicious and simple to make.
Ingredients
1 Tbsp Olive oil or vegetable oil
A pinch of Salt
A pinch of Pepper
4-6 eggs
1 Tsp Chili flakes
1/2 Tsp Smoked Paprika (optional)
4-6 Breakfast Sausages
Half of a medium-sized chopped onion
Baby potatoes cut into wedges
Steps:
1) Heat the pan over a secure fire pit or stove. Once the pan is hot, pour in the olive oil or vegetable oil.
2) Place the chopped onions in the pan.
3) Season the onions with salt and pepper. Stir everything together.
4) Add in the potato wedges, chili flakes, and smoked paprika and stir everything together. Cook on high for about 4-5 minutes.
5) As the potatoes continue to cook, place the breakfast sausages in the pan. You may want to remove the pan from being directly under the fire, to ensure the potatoes don't burn while cooking the sausage.
6) Push aside the potatoes and breakfast sausage to create some holes to pour the eggs into. Depending on the size of the pan you can add 4-6 eggs.
7) Cover the lid on the pan to let the eggs cook for 1-3 minutes.
8) Depending on how well-cooked you like your eggs, you can remove them from the fire pit or stove once you are happy with the desired texture.
Enjoy!
