This years carnival was so special to us, to have the opportunity to join the legendary Disya Generation’s sound system was WHOLESOME 💕 Linette was one of the first women DJs to play @ Notting hill carnival, at just 14 years old & now runs one of the biggest sound systems there. She invited us and some other groundbreaking queers to have a visible presence for the first time, to be part of this legacy is incredible, we can’t thank her enough 🥹 Carnival hasn’t always felt safe for us as queer & trans people so to be out and loud about it, especially on family day was so emotional, every time we shouted out queer people belong in carnival the crowd went insane 🫶🏾 Big luv to @carmen_londondj for DJing & to @itsryanlovell for hosting & we are so sorry we couldn’t tell you about it due to safety issues on congestion!
