A summer spent chasing wild fish and clean water is a summer well-spent ... but may not result in the cleanest waders. Here’s how to make sure your waders stay clean, comfortable, and ready for more adventure: 1. Wash and dry your waders after fishing different waterways to prevent the transfer of invasive species. 2. Be proactive. Wash your waders before you see dirt or smell grime. All @patagonia_flyfish waders and wading pants are made to be machine-washed and dried—separately in cold water with a mild detergent on the delicate cycle. (Don't forget to open all zippers and pockets) 3. Dry on a low-heat tumble dry cycle. This helps kill invasive species. 4. When you're done for the season, make sure to completely dry waders before packing them away to avoid mold. 5. No bleach, ironing, dry cleaning or fabric softeners. Just don't do it.
