"✨ I started skating at 43!! I remember watching my husband and his friends skate and I’d watch him with so much envy! I wanted to do that! But I felt like it was too late for me, I won’t be any good, what’s the point, people will laugh at me... so much self-doubt. But then when my kids also started skateboarding, I realized: I didn’t want to stand on the sidelines watching other people live their best lives. I didn’t care anymore about people laughing at me. I just knew I wanted to drop in to this bowl and I wasn’t going to stop until I did. 3 years after I first started skating, at the age of 46, and after a really bad slam that took me out for 8 weeks, I successfully dropped into this bowl. And now I feel like I can do anything! Indeed!
