Hey you! don’t take life so seriously 🌻 I posted on my story earlier this week about the anxiety that can be caused around thanksgiving for a lot of people, especially if you come from divorced families & have a million dinners to go to 😅 I feel you ! I had some people reach out to me about this & I see it happen with clients as well. I think a lot of people let the fear of “losing progress” or gaining weight overtake what thanksgiving is truly about... Giving-Thanks for what’s in your life 🧡 I completely understand when you have goals & want to stick to them so the advice I normally give to my clients is to let me know ahead of time what their Thanksgiving plans are so I can help them navigate through things with a little less stress. For most clients we’ll plan to make that meal a refeed or untracked meal. So they can sit & be present with family & not feel like they need to bust out the scale in order to eat. For my clients with multiple dinners to go to I usually tell them to choose the meal that they want to use as their refeed (I recommend the house you know you’ll have a harder time estimating what’s going to be there or what’s in the food) and then for the other dinners try to estimate ahead of time what you think will be there for food & what you want to have, then work the rest of your days macros around it ! Obviously it won’t be perfect, but at-least then you know you’ve accounted for some calories instead of going balls to the wall & leaving with a stomach ache, feeling like 🥴 But at the same time, if you are enjoying yourself, it’s okay! Don’t beat yourself up about it. It’s just a day, get back on track the next. I hope this helps to ease some anxiety from anyone panicked about the upcoming weekend 🌻 Just remember at the end of the day, bloating is temporary but memories with your loved ones last forever ☺️
