It's been a year since we were put under a community quarantine due to the pandemic and I'm sure it has been a difficult year for all us. Our once thriving tourism industry had been hit hard having lasting and damaging effects to our economy and the livelihood of many. We have been working very hard to help with the opening of our economies but PLEASE remain vigilant and follow the necessary health and safety protocols of the places you are visiting as the virus is still out there. It is the due diligence of establishments to guarantee the safety of their customers by following the necessary health and safety guidelines provided by DOT and DOH while it is the due diligence of travelers to plan their trips through DOT-accredited tour and travel agencies for a more seamless journey in the new normal. Doing these can go a long way in helping our medical frontliners manage hospitals that are now at maximum capacity. This coming Holy Week, please be reminded that nobody is exempted from COVID19. Most may be asymptomatic but they can be the reason for transmission. If simple health protocols like wearing a facemask are not followed, we risk going back to how we started or worse.
