Fall is around the corner & you may need to switch a few things out in your routine & #NordstromRack has items that won’t deplete the budget. #NordstromRackPartner DAY: Gentle cleanser for your skin type & skincare needs. For some skin types and in certain climates (ie in the dead of winter) for your DAYTIME ROUTINE, you may want to just cleanse with water & move onto your other steps in your daytime routine) Antioxidant serum. This helps fight against the things that come for our skin during the day: free radicals, environmental damage, pollution, UV, etc. Vitamin C is a popular one, but there are other antioxidants such as niacinamide, green tea, resveratrol, vitamin E, etc. Moisturizer for your skin type and skincare needs. As the weather cools, you might need a more hydrating formula. If you have oily skin, you may love gel moisturizers that are extremely hydrating yet feel weightless on the skin. If you have dry skin, something creamier that contains ingredients like ceramides might be more up your alley. SUNSCREEN. We need sunscreen year-round & that includes the fall + winter. UV exposure is a thing year-round even when it’s cold. It can also be more intense for some in the colder months. NIGHT: Consider double cleansing first w/ a cleansing balm or oil IF you are wearing makeup and/or hard to remove sunscreen. Massage the cleansing balm or oil into skin, rinse, and then move onto... Gentle cleanser. And yes, bare skin still needs to be cleansed, folks. Retinol moisturizer. Retinol helps to reverse some of the damage done to our skin during the day & helps to prevent some of the premature signs of aging. If you’re new to retinol, start with a lower percentage & slowly introduce it into your routine.
