For so many years I fantasized about redoing our house. More specifically, for the last few years+, the fantasy remodel would rest in the hands of our friend, the incredibly talented Amy Neunsinger. We met many years ago in the canyon, and when I was invited to her house I went nuts over it. It’s beautiful, but also warm and cozy and inviting. She has that special X factor with all things visual. She’s a brilliant photographer, and she’s quite bold and fearless when it comes to making design decisions — something that I utterly lack any confidence in doing. When it comes to interiors, honestly, I just suck at it. I used to think I could pull things together because I know what I love and I can make a great mood board, but it all falls apart in the execution. So we just settled on lots and lots of talk about what we were going to do one day, which turned into years. Then “one day” fell into our laps. I heard that Amy & Kate, her equally talented partner, landed a house renovation show on the Magnolia Network. Together they were going to select projects/clients where they would go into their spaces and mostly use what they already have, and reimagine what could be through their fresh eyes. This wasn’t going be another show where brands paid for placement, this was going to be intimate, and thoughtful, and unique. Our situation fit the bill perfectly — tired but loved, old family house loaded with heirloom furniture and art, that deserved more glory than it was ever given. My fantasy came true, and Amy & Kate took our home into their loving hands and surprised us with a kitchen that is gorgeous beyond words, and a brightened-up living / dining room. They lightened the floors, hung our art, moved around light fixtures, styled our shelves, and on and on..... Every detail is simply gorgeous, and it only took around 6 weeks — which is really unheard of when doing this much work! We are so grateful that they saw our home’s potential, and chose us to be one of their clients for Capturing Home 🤍🤍Thank you Amy & Kate 😘
