The EU recently banned a key gel polish ingredient. Does this mean gel polish is bad for you? I had to delve into some of the studies on this one and here is what I found. TLDR: if used properly, in moderation, and on the nail only, the risk is limited, especially given how little TPO you might get exposed to. And just about goes away when the gel hardens. Still, if you prefer to be cautious, there are some gel polishes that don’t contain that ingredient.
