Replying to @l0v3.star Just because YOU perceive someone as being “pretty” does not mean they feel that way or that their life has been easy. 🖤 On a personal note I was raised being called variations of ugly on a regular basis by the women who were supposed to give me self esteem and teach me self love. I don’t discount pretty privilege at all- I’d course some things are easier when you’re conventionally “attractive” under patriarchy. But for myself, I’ve out-worked everyone I know since I was 8 years old to get where I am. And being “pretty” doesn’t mean that people don’t go through things.
