Sharing a few proud moments 🥹🥹 @tower28beauty won Brand of the Year from @glossyco and it feels like a real moment of affirmation that I’m soaking in. To be recognized by industry peers and in such amazing company could not be more validating. Tower 28 was a dream just a few years ago. As someone with zero platform of influence, I knew the odds were stacked against me. I had three kids and a mortgage which meant financially I was pretty risk intolerant not to mention busy and sleep deprived as it was. I had taken off multiple years from working full time to raise my kids and I was frightened my skillset was irrelevant. I was 40 and starting a company with some seed money, my resume and a fear of failure. So, THANK YOU to everyone who encouraged me, joined me and supported me. You know who you are. I don’t know who needs to hear this but it’s not too late to follow your dreams. You deserve to have it all, just can’t have it all at once. Be patient with yourself but keep after it. My greatest hope is that Tower 28 is able to make our little corner of the world a better one, not only through the products and programs we create but also the work culture (not toxic!). I might be biased but our small but mighty team is hardworking and full of heart, and I think the consumer can feel it. I couldn’t be more proud of my team - “the team to beat!” This one’s for you guys! And 👉 from my daughter Ellie’s yearbook. She was asked to name someone who inspired her and she said me “for following her dreams ✨ I have a lot of mom guilt that I’m consumed by my business and less present than I wish I was. But right now I’m going to celebrate this win. I may not take my kids to art class everyday but I’m role modeling what it looks like to try your hardest and I’m proud she sees it. 💪😍
