Tsuru for Solidarity is pleased to announce a two-part training on nonviolence led by Kazu Haga. Participants are expected to attend both days. Part 1: Saturday, July 16, 9 am - 3 pm PT / 12 pm -6 pm ET Part 2: Sunday, July 17, 9 am - 3 pm PT / 12 pm - 6 pm ET There will be a 1-hour meal/rest break each day. Hosted by: Family and Child Detention Working Group and Direct Action/Arts Action Committee of Tsuru for Solidarity Who is eligible to apply All are welcome to apply for this training. Though we wish we could offer this workshop widely, space will be limited to 50 participants due to the interactive nature of the training. Experience is not necessary, but we are prioritizing individuals interested in participating in TFS nonviolence direct action organizing. You can apply by filling out the application registration form below. If you are selected, we will notify you and request a $25 registration fee*. All registrants will receive a copy of Kazu Haga’s book, Healing Resistance. *Scholarships are available. Nobody will be turned away due to cost. Scope of the training: The training will consist of two 2.5 hour sessions each day with a one hour lunch break for a total of 10 hours of training.
