THIS WAS THE ONE🏅 I started my official race journey several years ago in NYC with the Brooklyn Women’s Half Marathon across the Verrazano Bridge thinking it was a one and done. I would say, 💭 “why would I ever run a FULL MARATHON? who even does that? I’m not that kind of runner.” 💭 Fast forward, after numerous half marathons, a trek across California to Las Vegas for @thespeedproject with @girlgangcrazy, two (2) @lamarathon with @4xfourcrew friends and many cold nights of track work with @goodvibes_tc and fun week night runs with my home team run club @keepitrunhundred, I came back to NYC for (what might be the finale to) my long run journey, 🗣️I RAN THEE @nycmarathon and it was EPIC! 🗽 I started training with “no bib, just vibes”... manifesting it somehow, (it’s a haze to get a NYC bib) and the amazing @mariahdyson made it happen. So grateful for her. 🥹 Thank you to all of my friends and family who cheered for me across the country, who tracked me on the app, sent encouraging texts on the run, came out in the cold/heat/rain with signs just to see me for a fleeting moment, I am humbled and thankful! @theheartofgolden is happy. 🫶🏾 And last but not least @maaureeennn + @corazonofmelon we went on this journey together and so happy we made it to the other side together.
