What a joy #KinkyBootsDL was. Thank you to everyone who came and filled out both nights and who were so generous with their adulation. It shows how talented every single person working on that show is to reach such a height of excellence in such a short space of time. I am always so proud of everyone I work with and I never usually single out any one person on posts like this... But... I have had the pleasure of working with @iamcedricneal 6 times now we counted and he has been perfect each and every time. Knowing his personal story, what Simon/Lola means to him and his journey of nearly with Kinky Boots made this the proudest I’ve ever been to see someone shine so brightly and deserve every beat of joy that the audience gave back to him. Lala took Lola to a new place, and it was one of the most special things that 4,000 people have ever witnessed. The emotion that I had watching it was a supercharged combination of pride, joy, love, happiness, justification and validation for someone who is extraordinary, I’ve never felt anything like it. Both nights had a show stop for over 2 minutes after Cedric performed Hold Me In Your Heart as the audience responded to the magic they witnessed with a standing ovation. Thank you all of the incredible people who worked on Kinky Boots in concert at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. It was short and sweet but what a group it was... You’re all angels to me.
