This is my response to elevate the name of Jesus. . 08/01/2023 I was saved 10/18/2023 I was baptized . . . . . My name is Emmanuel Smith and I am in 12th grade at Johns Creek high school. My faith journey started off very rocky because I knew of God but I didn KNOW God. I've grown up in a family that didn't really go to church or talked about Jesus and our individual religion, but I always went to Christian summer camps. After each camp nothing really clicked. The "camp high" would wear off and I would go right back into my old habits and not living for Jesus. Until I went to a summer camp called Woodlands. Now I've been going for over five years, but this summer was different. This summer felt like it was off to a great start. I was traveling and gaining new experiences, but I was living so much in the moment that I got caught up with society. In the month of July I stopped traveling and having things to do and I hit a low. But then I went to Woodlands, and I had a great counselor @william.daulton . I just life dumped for about an hour and a half at midnight on a porch, and it just hit me like a wave and clicked. I decided that faith was no longer a want but a need. I gave my life to Christ that night Tuesday August, 1st. After camp I came home and remembered my friend Cami told me about Stonecreek. After trying to get me to go for months, that Sunday me and my dad came and I felt comfort at stonecreek. About a month ago I cleared my schedule and I came to Wake. I realized the opportunity is here and the time is now to get baptized! This is my response, to elevate the name of Jesus.
