While wedding planners are professionals in organizing a full day timeline they base their timelines on how long each part of your day will take. Meaning each vendor is the expert when it comes to knowing THEIR timeline. If the florist says it will take 2hr to set up the florals the wedding planner sets aside 2hrs. Hair and makeup should be no different. Maybe the last artist they worked with did a full face in 30 minutes but if YOU don’t, be firm in your timeline. You are the professional in your field and you know best. As an artist is must be worth your time to be there. If you are given a 2hr timeline and you have 10 girls to get ready and each girl takes an hour then that means you now need 5 artists. And those 5 artist now only have 2 services each so their profit for doing so few services may barely even cover the travel costs and their time. As an bridal artist we take the day for you and your bridal party. That accounts for travel, set up, tear down, sanitation, unpacking, setting up again.
